The Arts Commission was created by Minute Order dated March 7, 1977.
Membership:
There are fifteen appointed members to the Arts Commission.
Term:
The Arts Commission members are appointed to three year terms.
Duties:
Advise the Board of Supervisors on methods the County can use to assist the arts through the use of County facilities to house and display works of art and sites for artists to perform; to recommend programs to encourage local artists, and where appropriate, to supervise such programs; to assist the Board of Supervisors in coordinating County programs with art programs of other governments and agencies.
Meeting Date and Location:
The Commission meets the second Wednesday of each month. Location varies throughout the County.
