Legal Authority: Formed by Board of Supervisors' Resolution No. 91-442 dated July 23, 1991. Amended by adoption of revised bylaws, Minute Order dated August 18, 1992.
Membership: 15 members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
Each member of the Board shall appoint 3 representatives from each district. Incorporated cities are encouraged to submit recommendations to the Board members.
Term: 3 years. No commissioner shall be appointed to more than two consecutive three-year terms.
Duties: To promote good will, mutual understanding among people and improve human relations within the County.
Meeting Date
and Location: The Commission shall hold one regular meeting a month and shall comply with all public notification of date of meeting, time and location; meetings may be rotated to different sites throughout the County.
