Legal Authority:
California Health and Safety Code 9020. "A legislative body of at least three members known as the board of trustees shall govern every district. The board of trustees shall establish policies for the operation of the district. The board of trustees shall provide for the faithful implementation of those policies which is the responsibility of the employees of the district."
Membership:
The Board consists of five members.
Term:
The Board members are appointed for four year terms.
Duties:
The Board holds public meetings, adopts policies for the cemetery, adopts the budget, approves employee hiring, approves income, and oversees cemetery expenses.
Meeting Date and Location:
The Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month. All meetings are held at 4655 W. Main Street, Guadalupe, CA 93434.
