Legal Authority: Bowl Foundation operates, maintains and improves County-owned cultural facility under a 45-year lease with the County of Santa Barbara. Foundation operation "privatizes" Bowl at no cost to County General Fund.
Membership: 15-25 member Board of Directors which represents key sectors of the community (Eastside business, Eastside neighborhood; Rivera resident; youth organization; cultural arts organization; artist; philanthropic community; professional expertise in areas of facility design and construction. Board should be diverse and represent the community it serves; One ex-officio member from County Parks Department; One appointee by Board of Supervisors, nominated by the First District Supervisor.
Term: Three-year terms.
Duties: Operate and improve the County-owned Santa Barbara County Bowl; present diverse programming; report annually to the Board of Supervisors.
Meeting Date Second Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. Location: Bowl Foundation offices, 1122 North Milpas Street, Santa Barbara.
