Treasurer's Investment Policy, Article 6, §27131 and §27132. Board of Supervisors' Minute Order, dated May 14, 1996. (96-20,199).
Membership:
The size of the committee shall consist of 3 to 11 members. Members shall be nominated by the Treasurer-Tax Collector and confirmed by the Board of Supervisors. The committee shall consist of members appointed from the following:
a) County Treasurer-Tax Collector;
b) County Auditor-Controller;
c) A representative appointed by the Board of Supervisors;
d) County superintendent, or a designee;
e) Representative selected by the majority of presiding officers of the governing officers of school districts and community college districts in the County;
f) Representative selected by the majority of presiding officers of the governing officers of the legislative bodies of special districts in the County which are required or authorized to deposit funds on the County treasury;
g) Up to five other members of the public.
Term:
The members of the Treasury Oversight Committee serve open terms.
Duties:
The duties of the Treasury Oversight Committee are as follows:
a) Review the Treasurer’s Investment Policy.
b) Purpose an annual audit be conducted to determine the county treasury’s compliance with Article 6 of Chapter 5 of Part 3 of Division 2 of Title 3 of the Government Code.
Meeting Date and Location:
The Committee meetings are scheduled on an as needed basis, at least quarterly.
