Legal Authority:
The Traffic Engineering Committee was created by Board Resolution No. 23655, December 2, 1963; Revised by Resolution No. 84-373; Rescission of Resolution No. 84-373 by adoption of Resolution No. 96-12, dated January 23, 1996, which expanded the membership.

Membership:
a) Automobile Club of Southern California;
b) California Highway Patrol, Santa Barbara area;
c) California Highway Patrol, Buellton area;
d) California Highway Patrol, Santa Maria area;
e) California Department of Transportation;
f) Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition;
g) Santa Barbara County Education Office;
h) Santa Barbara County Sheriff;
i) Santa Barbara County Public Works Department;
j) South Coast Transit Advisory Committee;
k) Vandenberg Air Force Base;
l) The Public Transit Operator in the area of the matter under consideration.

Term:
The Traffic Engineering Committee members serve open terms.

Duties:
Investigate and make recommendations regarding traffic regulations and control in unincorporated areas.

Meeting Date and Location:
The Traffic Engineering Committee meetings are scheduled the second Wednesday on a bi-monthly basis in the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room: 105 East Anapamu Street, 4th Floor, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
