Consider recommendations regarding the Maddy Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fund, as follows:
a) Adopt a Resolution to maintain the Maddy EMS Fund for Santa Barbara County by continuing to assess fines on certain criminal violations and on alcohol and drug related criminal violations;
b) Direct EMS Agency staff of the Public Health Department to work with other County staff and interested parties to assess options for providing a permanent source of funding for a Maddy EMS Fund in Santa Barbara County; and
c) Determine that these activities are exempt from California Environmental Quality Act review per CEQA Guideline Section 15061(b)(3), since it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activities may have a significant effect on the environment.
