Title: Consider recommendations regarding Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund (CREF) Grant Contracts, Second and Third Districts, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund (CREF) Contract with the California Marine Sanctuary Foundation, in the amount of $2,500.00, to fabricate and install two copies of its "Explore Tide Pools with Care" interpretative sign at Arroyo Burro Beach in Santa Barbara and Ocean Park Beach near Lompoc; b) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute a CREF Contract with The Nature Conservancy's California Islands Project, in the amount of $40,000.00, to complete Phase 3 of the Santa Cruz Island Habitat Restoration Project, located on Santa Cruz Island; and c) Determine that the allocation of the CREF grant to fabricate and install two interpretative signs is exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15311 of the State Guidelines for the implementation of CEQA.
