Title

Consider recommendations regarding an award of contract for the Phase II Cultural Resource Study for Hollister Avenue/State Street Improvements Project, Federal Project No. HPLUL-5951(158), County Project No. 862382, Second District, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the professional services contract for implementation of the Phase II Cultural Resource Study with Rincon Consulting, Inc. (a local vendor), 209 East Victoria Street, Suite B, Santa Barbara, California 93101, in the base amount of $39,360.30, for the Hollister Avenue/State Street Improvements Project;

 

b) Authorize the Director of Public Works or designee to approve amendments to the professional services contract with Rincon Consulting, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $3,936.03; and

 

c) Find that the proposed contract does not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to 14 CCR 15378 (b)(5) (Organizational or administrative activities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment), and approve and direct staff to file the Notice of  Exemption on that basis.
