Title: Consider recommendations regarding Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund (CREF) grant contract with the Channel Islands Curriculum, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the CREF grant contract with the Santa Cruz Island Foundation, in the amount of $15,000.00, to adapt the Channel Islands films into an educational curriculum, from the period of February 28, 2017 to May 15, 2017; b) Approve and authorize the Director of Planning and Development, or designee, to approve changes to the term, the project description, or the budget for a decrease or increase in efforts within the scope of work limited to ten percent (10%); and c) Determine that the allocation of the CREF grant for the Channel Islands Films is exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the State Guidelines for the implementation of the CEQA.
