Title
Consider recommendations regarding Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-2020 Institutions for Mental Disease/Residential Mental Health Contract Renewals, as follows:
a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for services of Independent Contractor with Crestwood Behavioral Health Center, Inc. (not a local vendor), an institution for mental disease, for a contract amount not to exceed $850,000.00 per FY, and a total maximum contract amount not to exceed $2,550,000.00 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020;
b) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement of services of Independent Contractor with Merced Behavioral Center (not a local vendor), an institution for mental disease, for a contract amount not to exceed $550,000.00 per FY, and a total maximum contract amount not to exceed $1,650,000.00 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020;
c) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement of services of Independent Contractor with Sylmar Health and Rehabilitation Center (not a local vendor) an institution for mental disease, for a contract amount not to exceed $1,100,000.00 per year and a total maximum contract amount not to exceed $3,300,000.00 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020; and
d) Determine that the above actions are government fiscal activities or funding mechanisms which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment, and are therefore not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA guidelines.
