Title: Consider recommendations regarding the execution of a grant agreement between the County of Santa Barbara and the City of Santa Barbara for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-2018 Arts and Culture Programs and Projects, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an agreement with the City of Santa Barbara for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, for implementation of the arts grant program administered by the County's Office of Arts and Culture as well as staffing costs; the sum of these services being $475,100.00; and b) Determine that the approval and execution of the Agreement is not the approval of a project that is subject to environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4), finding that the action is a creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physi...

Consider recommendations regarding the execution of a grant agreement between the County of Santa Barbara and the City of Santa Barbara for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-2018 Arts and Culture Programs and Projects, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an agreement with the City of Santa Barbara for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018, for implementation of the arts grant program administered by the County’s Office of Arts and Culture as well as staffing costs; the sum of these services being $475,100.00; and

 

b) Determine that the approval and execution of the Agreement is not the approval of a project that is subject to environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4), finding that the action is a creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment, and direct staff to file a Notice of Exemption.
