Consider recommendations regarding the acceptance of Grant Funding for Domestic Cannabis Eradication/Suppression Program (DCESP) from the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency for illegal cannabis eradication for the period October 01, 2018 to September 30, 2019, as follows:
a) Accept the grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency in the amount of $58,000.00 to fund increased enforcement of any crimes related to illicit cannabis production and/or cultivation for Fiscal Year 2018-2019;
b) Approve and authorize the Sheriff to execute the Letter of Agreement No. 2019-44 with the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Agency; and
c) Find that the grant funding approval is a government funding mechanism which is not a project pursuant to section 15378(b) (4) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
