Consider recommendations regarding Southern California Edison (SCE) Facilities Relocation Project, Second District, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

Acting as Board of Directors, Flood Control and Water Conservation District:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to execute the Facilities Relocation Agreement with SCE Company for the engineering and construction services to relocate SCE’s existing utility facilities at County property at 4408 Cathedral Oaks Road in Santa Barbara for a total contract amount not to exceed $187,000.00;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0006971 increasing appropriations in the amount of $187,000.00 in the South Coast Flood Zone for Services and Supplies releasing Restricted Fund Balance to fund costs for this agreement; and

 

c) Find that the SCE Facilities Relocation Project is a replacement of existing utility facilities where the new structures will be located on the same site and have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structures replaced; therefore, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to 14 CCR Section 15302(c).
