Title: HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding a Library Ad Hoc Committee update and Countywide Free Library System Annual Agreement, as follows: (EST. HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding a Library Ad Hoc Committee update and Countywide Free Library System Annual Agreement, as follows: (EST. TIME: 1 HR.)

 

a) Receive and file an update on the work of the Library Ad Hoc Committee;

 

b) Direct Staff to invite Elected Officials from each City to attend future meetings of the Library Ad Hoc Committee to continue the Committee’s efforts;

 

c) Approve, ratify and authorize the Chair to execute a one-year Agreement for Operation of a Countywide Library System, by and between the County and the Cities of Santa Barbara, Goleta, Lompoc and Santa Maria (“Cities”) for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 with a total amount not to exceed $4,407,466.00; and

 

d) Determine that the above recommended actions are not the approval of a project that is subject to environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5), finding that the action involves government organizational or administrative activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
