Title

Consider recommendations regarding the acceptance of a Grant for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EV Chargers) at the County Betteravia Campus, Fourth District, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an EV Charger Infrastructure Program Grant Agreement with the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) for acceptance of a grant in the amount of $74,000.00 for installation of twenty (20) EV Chargers at the County’s Betteravia Campus in Santa Maria, California;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0008551 appropriating $74,000.00 in grant revenue for EV Chargers; and

 

c) Determine that the recommended actions are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15262 and 15378(b)(4) of the State Guidelines for the Implementation of CEQA, finding that the activities involve only feasibility or planning studies for possible future actions which the Board has not approved, adopted or funded and are the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant impact on the environment.
