Title
Consider recommendations regarding the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Cooperative Agreement, Fiscal Years (FYs) 2022-2025 Transitional-Age Youth (TAY) Vocational Rehabilitation No. 32003 Termination, as follows:
a) Approve and authorize the termination of the multi-year cooperative agreement with the California DOR, No. 32003, originally executed by the County on June 28, 2022 for the coordination and provision of vocational rehabilitation services to TAY, for a multiyear cost reimbursement not to exceed $1,409,472.00, (with a local cash match requirement of $495,000.00) for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025;
b) Direct the Director of the Department of Behavioral Wellness or designee to issue a letter substantially similar to the draft provided as Attachment A to the Board Letter, terminating the Agreement, effective November 29, 2022;
c) Delegate authority to the Director of the Department of Behavioral Wellness or designee to take actions necessary for the winddown of the Agreement, subject to the Board’s ability to rescind this delegated authority at any time; and
d) Determine that the above actions are government fiscal activities or funding mechanisms which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment, and are therefore not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines.
