the public. There will be no Board discussion except to ask questions or refer matters to staff; and  
no action will be taken unless listed on a subsequent agenda.

The schedule shown is an estimate for planning purposes. Items may be heard earlier or later than  
listed on the Agenda. Departmental presentations not completed by Wednesday, April 10, 2024 may be  
considered on Friday, April 12, 2024. If Budget Workshops are continued to Friday, April 12, 2024,  
the Board of Supervisors may discuss budget items for any County Department, County Function or  
Special Issue previously discussed.

HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Preliminary Budget  
and Budget Development Workshops, as follows:  
a) Receive and file information about the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 preliminary budget;  
b) Provide direction, if any, regarding items to be addressed or included in the County Executive  
Office’s (CEO’s) Recommended Budget, scheduled for release in May and Board adoption  
scheduled for June 11, 2024 and June 13, 2024;  
c) Affirm or revise priority capital projects recommended for funding as presented in the Special  
Issue;  
d) Provide other direction, if any, as appropriate; and  
e) Determine pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines 15378(b)(4)  
that the above actions are not a project subject to CEQA review, because it is a government fiscal  
activity that does not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a  
potentially significant physical impact on the environment.  
COUNTY EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S RECOMMENDATION: POLICY  
A motion was made by Supervisor Hartmann, seconded by Supervisor Williams,  
that this matter be acted on as follows:  
a) Received and filed;  
b) Provided direction;  
c) Affirmed;  
d) No action taken; and  
e) Approved.
