Membership:

The Child Welfare Safety Net Task Force consists of five(5) regular members appointed by each member of the Board of Supervisors.

Term:

The Child Welfare Safety Net Task Force members’ terms are open ended.

Duties:

Child Welfare Safety Net Task Force was created for the purpose of assessing the overall system of public and community based child welfare services in Santa Barbara County that address the needs of children (and their families) who become, or are at risk of becoming, dependents of the court under Article 6, Section 300 of the Welfare and Institutions Code and produce a report with findings and recommendations for the Board of Supervisors by April 14, 2016.
