Title: Consider recommendations regarding an application to pursue fourth year allocation funding under the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA), as follows: a) Authorize the Chief Probation Officer to submit an Application for Approval to the Board of Corrections in order to utilize fourth year funding allocated to Santa Barbara County under the JJCPA, for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005; b) Adopt a resolution authorizing the Chief Probation Officer to sign the grant application for funding, including application amendments or extensions with the State of California, and authorize the Board to enter into the grant contract; c) Assure that the County, if awarded funding, will adhere to the California Board of Correction's contract terms and statutory requirements, participate in the collection of the required data, and use grant funding to supplement and not supplant existing programs.
