Consider recommendations regarding First 5 Children and Families Commission of Santa Barbara County acceptance of appropriations, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Increase appropriations of $249,653.00, which are due to a previously approved amendment to the Dual Language Learner Expansion grant that shifts the budget and timing of Dual Language Learner funding received from First 5 California (F5CA) from Fiscal Year (FY) 2020-2021 to FY 2021-2022. The total grant amount remains the same;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0008046 to establish appropriations of $249,653.00 in First 5 Santa Barbara County’s First 5 Child and Families Commission Fund for Salaries and Employee Benefits and Services and Supplies, which are funded by the F5CA Dual Language Learner grant as its budget has been amended; and

 

c) Determine that the activity is not a “Project” subject to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review per CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4), the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
