Title: Consider recommendations regarding a Resolution for authorization to accept and apply for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Funds, as follows: a) Amend Resolution No. 03-164 to update the repeal in legislation from the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act for the acceptance of subgrants for the Workforce Investment Act Program and to authorize the Workforce Development Board Executive Director to apply for discretionary Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and other workforce-related funding; and b) Determine that the approval of the recommended action is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b) (5), since the recommended action is a government administrative activity which does not involve commitment to any specific project which may result in potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
