Consider recommendations regarding a First Amendment to the Construction Agreement for Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) Communication Tower for the Fire Station 24, Fourth District, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with GrayDS Incorporated, (Board Contract No. 23241) for the Fire Station 24  PSRN Construction Project correcting the contingency amount from $37,234.09 (in original contract) to $41,295.42, and increasing corrected amount to $115,539.13, for an amended aggregate maximum amount not to exceed $691,447.44, and extending the term of the agreement until June 30, 2026; and

 

b)  Approve and authorize the Director of General Services, or his designee, to approve Change Orders under the Agreement in an aggregate amount not to exceed $115,539.13; and determine that the project continues to be exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the following CEQA guidelines sections: 15301, as the actions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public structures, facilities, mechanical equipment or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use; 15302, as the actions consist or replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities located on the same site and with the same purpose and capacity; 15303, as the actions consist of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures and installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and 15061(b)(3), as it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity may have a significant effect on the environment; and that a Notice of Exemption on these bases was filed on July 13, 2021.
