Title: Consider recommendations regarding authorization to submit direct argument in favor of Transient Occupancy Tax Increase Ballot Measure and authorize direct argument authors to provide a rebuttal if needed, as follows: a) Under Elections Code Section 9162(a), authorize and direct the Chair to prepare, execute and submit to the Elections Official on behalf of the Board of Supervisors, a direct argument in favor of the Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) Ballot Measure for the November 4, 2014 General Election Ballot between July 14, 2014 and July 23, 2014; and b) Under Elections Code 9167(a) authorize Supervisors Lavagnino and Carbajal to prepare and submit rebuttal arguments or authorize in writing any other person or persons to prepare, submit or sign the rebuttal arguments between July 24, 2014 and August 4, 2014, if necessary.
