Consider recommendations regarding acceptance of California State Parks, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Grant Funds, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)
a) Accept the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) grant of $74,435.00 from the State of California Natural Resources Agency, Department of Parks and Recreation, OHMVR Division for 2017-2018 for increased law enforcement services and equipment in Santa Barbara County, specifically in the area of the Santa Ynez River;
b) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Sheriff to execute an agreement with State of California Natural Resources Agency, Department of Parks and Recreation, OHMVR Division for the grant;
c) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0006151 appropriating $74,435.00 in grant revenue and corresponding expense; and
d) Determine this action is exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 153 78(b) ( 4 ), finding that the action is a creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant impact on the environment.
