Consider recommendations regarding an Agreement with Marian Regional Medical Center to receive payment distributions from the Maddy Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fund, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement with Marian Regional Medical Center to receive payment distributions from the Maddy EMS Fund for partial compensation for providing trauma and emergency medical services to patients who do not make payments for emergency medical services which include the homeless, uninsured, or undocumented, for the period from February 7, 2017 through December 31, 2018 in an amount not to exceed $206,000.00; and

 

b) Find that the proposed actions do not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines, because they consist of the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities, which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant impact on the environment.
