Title

 

Consider recommendations regarding a Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) Communication Site Construction Contract - Figueroa Mountain Site; Third District, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Construction Agreement for the Figueroa Mountain PSRN Construction Project in the amount of $842,428.00, with Normile Construction, the lowest responsible bidder, to complete the Project;

 

b) Authorize the Director of General Services or the Director of the Information Technology Department to approve change orders to the Agreement in the aggregate amount not to exceed $67,121.40, as authorized under California Public Contract Code Section 20142; and

 

c) Determine that the recommended actions are exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the following CEQA guidelines sections: 15301, as the actions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public structures, facilities, mechanical equipment or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use; 15302, as the actions consist or replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities located on the same site and with the same purpose and capacity; 15303, as the actions consist of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures and installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and 15061(b)(3), as it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity may have a significant effect on the environment; and that a Notice of Exemption on these bases was filed on July 13, 2021; and direct the filing of a Notice of Exemption for the work to be performed under the Agreements that is not covered by the Notice of Exemption previously filed on July 13, 2021.
