Title: Consider recommendations regarding amendments to the Nurse Workforce Initiative (NWI) agreements for the provision of licensed vocational nurse training and retention services, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute Amendment No. 1 to the contract with Cottage Health Systems (a local vendor) reducing funding by $21,913 for a new contract total of $121,787 for the period of February 1, 2003 through September 30, 2005; b) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute Amendment No. 1 to the contract with the County of Ventura (not a local vendor) reducing funding by $47,513 for a new contract total of $758,007 for the period of January 1, 2003 through June 30, 2006; c) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute Amendment No. 1 to the contract with San Luis Obispo Private Industry Council (not a local vendor) reducing funding by $67,370 for a new contract total of $210,437 for the period of October 1, 2002 through June 30, 2006.
