Consider recommendations regarding Providing Access and Transforming Health (PATH) Initiative Round 4 Award Acceptance, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Sheriff and Probation Chief, or designees, to accept and receive funding from the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for PATH Round 4 Initiative Round 4 Award for approved activities for the project period of January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, in the amount of $1,300,000.00;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request Number 1601 in the amount of $650,000.00 to establish appropriations in the County Health Department for unanticipated revenue for services and supplies ($619,000.00), and indirect costs ($31,000.00) funded by the Sheriff’s Department and Probation Department’s DHCS’ PATH Round 4 funding award. Increase appropriations and offsetting revenue of $300,000.00 in Sheriff's Office and $350,000.00 in the Probation Department funded PATH 4 Justice Involved (JI) grant; and

 

c) Determine that the recommended actions do not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and are exempt pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines, since the recommended actions are the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities that do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
