Title: Consider recommendations regarding the agreements for Preliminary Design Work for the Lower Mission Creek Flood Control Project, First District, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement with Penfield and Smith (a local vendor) for the period of February 20, 2007 through February 1, 2008 in the amount of $134,331 for preliminary design work for the Lower Mission Creek Flood Control Project; b) Approve a contingency in the amount of $20,000 for additional tasks that may be needed to complete the project; and c) Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to execute the Memorandum of Understanding for the Lower Mission Creek Improvements with City of Santa Barbara to contribute 25% of the cost of the preliminary design work.
