Convened and conducted ceremonial hearing of the Board of Supervisors in the Mural Room of the Historic County Courthouse to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the dedication of the Courthouse;
Presented resolutions, received proclamations and testimony from community leaders regarding the importance of the Courthouse locally, nationally and internationally as follows:
i) Historic overview of Santa Barbara County Courthouse - Christine Palmer, Architectural Historian.
ii) Presentation of Resolution honoring Leo Presker for his efforts toward the construction of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.
iii) Presentation of Resolution recognizing the 75th Anniversary of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.
iv) Presentations of proclamations recognizing the 75th Anniversary of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse - Christine Elliot for United States Representative Lois Capps and Caroline Vance for State Assembly Member Hannah-Beth Jackson.
v) Public Interest in the Santa Barbara County Courthouse - Carmen Silva, President of the Courthouse Docent Council.
Recessed to the Courthouse Archway for setting of plaque by the Native Sons of the Golden West commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.
Reception followed in the Courthouse Archway hosted by the Santa Barbara Courthouse Legacy Foundation.
