Consider recommendations regarding Hearing Room Technology Refresh Project No. 8798, Approve PSE, Permission to Bid, and Authorization to Award, First and Fifth Districts, as follows:
a) Approve the plans and specifications to replace broadcast equipment involving minor construction in the hearing rooms located in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria. The estimated construction cost is $1.2 million;
b) Authorize the Director of General Services to advertise for bids for the Hearing Room Technology Refresh Project No. 8798; and
c) Find that the proposed actions are exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to sections 15300(1)(a) of the CEQA Guidelines, because the project will affect an existing facility with minor interior alterations and no exterior modifications.
