Title: Consider recommendations regarding Targeted Capacity Expansion Grants for Jail Diversion Programs, as follows: a) Concur with the grant application to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to provide funding for the CARES Jail Diversion Program, a short-term residential facility that serves as an alternative to incarceration for mentally ill offenders; and b) Authorize the ADMHS Director or designee to negotiate on behalf of the County and to execute the necessary Grant Agreements and documents to receive funding.
