Title: Consider recommendations regarding Haven Energy Battery Energy Storage System Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an MOU with Haven Energy, Inc. to memorialize the initial steps toward the installation of a battery energy storage system at the Santa Barbara Social Services Building (234 Camino del Remedio, Santa Barbara, CA 93110); b) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an MOU with Haven Energy, Inc. to memorialize the initial steps toward the installation of a battery energy storage system at the Naomi Schwartz Building (130 E. Victoria St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101); and c) Determine that the proposed actions are not a "project" as defined by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15378(b) (5), as it is an administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.
