Title

Consider recommendations regarding a Bid Waiver Request for Purchase of a Morbark Grinder for the Public Works Department, Resource Recovery and Waste Management Division Refuse Facilities, as follows:

 

a) Authorize the County Purchasing Agent to procure a grinder from Papé Machinery (a local vendor) of Morbark equipment sales, pursuant to County Code Section 2-39, through June 30, 2017 in an amount not to exceed $1,200,000.00;

 

b) Authorize the County Purchasing Agent to include a parts and services contract with Papé Machinery (a local vendor) of Morbark equipment sales, pursuant to County Code Section 2-39, through June 30, 2017 in amount not to exceed $100,000.00; and

 

c) Find that the proposed actions do not constitute a “project” within the meaning of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to 14 CC 15378(b)(2) (continuing administrative or maintenance activities, such as purchases for supplies, personnel-related actions, general policy and procedure making), and approve filing of the Notice of Exemption on that basis.
