Title: Consider recommendations regarding First Amendment of the Contract with the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County for High Road Construction Careers: Resilient Workforce Fund Program, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute the First Amendment of the contract with the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County to receive an additional $15,000.00 and increase the contract amount to $1,133,665.00 to provide High Road Construction Careers: Resilient Workforce Fund Program for the period starting October 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2026; and b) Determine that the activity is not a "Project" subject to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review per CEQA Guideline Section 15378(b)(4), the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment; and per CEQA Gu...

Consider recommendations regarding First Amendment of the Contract with the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County for High Road Construction Careers:  Resilient Workforce Fund Program, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute the First Amendment of the contract with the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County to receive an additional $15,000.00 and increase the contract amount to $1,133,665.00 to provide High Road Construction Careers: Resilient Workforce Fund Program for the period starting October 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2026; and

 

b) Determine that the activity is not a “Project” subject to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review per CEQA Guideline Section 15378(b)(4), the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment; and per CEQA Guideline Section 15378(b)(5), since the activity is an organizational or administrative activity of government that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
