Title: Consider recommendations regarding Professional Services Agreements with CBRE, Inc. (CBRE) and Skanska, as follows: a) Approve, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with CBRE for Consulting and Project Management Services in an amount not to exceed $225,000.00 for the period of January 31, 2022 through January 30, 2023; b) Approve, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with Skanska USA Building, Inc. Title

Consider recommendations regarding Professional Services Agreements with CBRE, Inc. (CBRE) and Skanska, as follows:

 

a) Approve, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with CBRE for Consulting and Project Management Services in an amount not to exceed $225,000.00 for the period of January 31, 2022 through January 30, 2023;

 

b) Approve, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with Skanska USA Building, Inc. (Skanska) for Consulting and Project Management Services in an amount not to exceed $225,000.00 for the period January 31, 2022 through January 30, 2023;

 

c) Per Government Code 31000, find that the services being provided in these agreements are considered “special services” as they are architectural and engineering in nature; and

 

d) Find that the recommended actions are not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to sections 15378(b)(4) and 15378(b)(5) of the CEQA Guidelines, because they consist of administrative and fiscal activities of government that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
