Title

Consider recommendations regarding Mutually Beneficial Capital Projects and Limited Term Programs, in accordance with the 2024 Settlement Agreement between the County of Santa Barbara and the Regents of the University of California, Second District, as follows:

 

a) Consider and Approve Projects in the Amount of $3,700,000.00 for Mutually Beneficial Capital Projects and Limited Term Programs, per the 2024 Settlement Agreement between the County of Santa Barbara and the Regents of the University of California;

 

b) Authorize the County Executive Officer to Transmit a Letter to the University of California at Santa Barbara regarding the Approved List of mutually beneficial capital projects and limited term programs;

 

c) Direct staff to return to the Board of Supervisors, by Winter of 2024, with the parameters of the Isla Vista Housing Inspection Pilot Program and future approval;

 

d) Direct staff to return to the Board of Supervisors with budget revision(s) as appropriate for specific projects and programs; and

 

e) Determine that the approval of the recommended action is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378 (b) (5)

since the recommended action is a government administrative activity which does not involve commitment to any specific project which may result in potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
