Title: Consider recommendations regarding the Approval of Request for Proposals to Retain Contract Film Commissioner to Develop Framework to Facilitate Filmmaking in Santa Barbara County, as follows: a) Authorize the Community Services Department (CSD) Director to release a Request for Proposals, and subsequently enter into a contract with the successful respondent to perform the tasks outlined in the scope of work, in a maximum aggregate contract amount not to exceed $150,000.00, for the period of October 1, 2026, through March 1, 2027; and b) Determine that the recommended actions are not a project subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5), because they consist of administrative activities that will not result in a direct or indirect physical change to the environment.
