Title: HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding the affirmation of the Proclamation of Emergency associated with the Gap Fire, recommended Proclamation termination, and Acknowledgement of NRCS Assistance, as follows: (EST. TIME: 15 MIN.) a) Adopt a Resolution reaffirming the ongoing existence of local emergency due to environmental impacts, response and recovery costs from the Gap Fire; b) Allow the Proclamation of Emergency to terminate on December 2, 2008 at 11:59 PM (local time); c) Receive a brief overview of mitigation measures taken to date; and d) Adopt a Resolution of Commendation Honoring the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for their extraordinary service to the citizens of Santa Barbara County.
