Title: Consider recommendations regarding a contract with Santa Maria Organization of Transportation Helpers (SMOOTH) to provide transit service between Los Alamos and the Santa Maria Valley, Third, Fourth and Fifth Districts, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement between the County and SMOOTH to provide $30,000 in Transit Development Act (TDA) monies for transit services between the community of Los Alamos and the Santa Maria Valley; b) Approve the allocation of $3,000 in TDA monies to be held by the Public Works Department as a contingency fund for the new transit service.
