Title
Consider recommendations regarding grant applications to support the programs of the Santa Barbara County Office of Early Care and Education, as follows:
a) Approve a grant request not to exceed $25,000 from the City of Santa Barbara Community Development Block Grant/Human Services Funds to partner with the Office of Early Care and Education on the STAR Project, which increases the quality of early care and education programs for children age 0-5 through training and retention stipends for early care and education providers, for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005;
b) Approve a grant request not to exceed $15,000 from the City of Santa Maria Community Development Block Grant/Human Services Public Service Application to partner with the Office of Early care and Education on the STAR Project, which increases the quality of early care and education programs for children age 0-5 through training and retention stipends for early care and education providers for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005;
c) Approve a grant request not to exceed $10,000 from the City of Lompoc Human Services Funds to partner with the Office of Early care and Education on the STAR Project, which increases the quality of early care and education programs for children age 0-5 through training and retention stipends for early care and education providers, for the period of July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005.
