Title: HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding County Support for State Legislation Senate Bills 627 and 805, as follows: (EST. TIME: 45 MIN.) a) Adopt a position to support California State Senate Bill 627, which would prohibit federal, state, and local law enforcement officers from masking under most circumstances; b) Adopt a position to support California State Senate Bill 805, which would require federal, state, and local law enforcement officers to display identification; c) Receive and file an update on Board direction from the July 15, 2025 Board hearing; and d) Find that the proposed actions are organizational or administrative activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment and is therefore not a project under (California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines 14 CCR 15378(b)(5).
