Title

Consider recommendations regarding an agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with MNS Engineers for Monument Perpetuation in support of projects Road Repairs for the Thomas Fire and 1/9 Debris Flow Disaster, County Project No. 820764, First District; and Hardscape Repairs, Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-2019, County Project No. 820687, Second, Third, and Fourth Districts, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with MNS Engineers, 201 N. Calle Cesar Chavez STE 300, (Agreement) in the base amount of $88,260.00, for monument perpetuation of Road Repairs for the Thomas Fire and 1/9 Debris Flow Disaster in the First District with a period of performance January 31, 2022 through January 1, 2023; and Hardscape Repairs FY 2018-2019 in the Second, Third and Fourth Districts with a period of performance January 31, 2022 through January 1, 2023;

 

 

b) Authorize the Director of Public Works, or designee, to approve amendments up to a 10 percent contingency amount not to exceed $8,826.00 for services within the scope of the Statement of Work of the Agreement with MNS for a total Agreement amount not to exceed $97,086.00; and

 

c) Determine the project was found by the Board to be exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act and that the Director of Public Works or designee was authorized to advertise for bids to construct this project on November 6, 2018, a Notice of Exemption was filed on this basis on September 26, 2018, and the proposed action is within the scope of the above referenced Notice of Exemption.
