Title: Consider recommendations regarding the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Emergency Dredging Project (23STM1), First District, as follows: Acting as the Board of Directors, Flood Control and Water Conservation District: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Statement of Final Quantities for work performed for the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Emergency Dredging Project (Project No. 23STM1-S44M) by the contractor Dixon Marine Services, Inc. (not a local vendor) in the amount of $3,169,823.00; and b) Determine that these emergency actions were found by the Board to be exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines Section 15269(c) - Emergency Projects. A Notice of Exemption was filed on this basis on February 27, 2023, and the proposed action is within the scope of that Notice of Exemption.
