Consider recommendations regarding the 1998 STIP Augmentation Program Fiscal Year 1999-2000 Asphalt Concrete Overlay (Project No. 810448), First, Second and Third Districts, as follows:
a) Approve plans and specifications for construction of the project;
b) Award and authorize the Chair to execute the construction contract in the amount of $2,255,999 to the lowest responsible bidder, Granite Construction Company (not a local vendor), subject to the project, as required under California law;
c) Approve a contingency fund in the amount of $125,299.95 for Construction of the project.
