Title: Consider recommendations regarding a Resolution Authorizing the Public Defender to apply for grant funding from the California Office of the State Public Defender's (OSPD) Expanded Public Defense Grant for the Holistic Defense Program, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Public Defender, or designee, to submit an application with the OSPD for the Expanded Public Defense (Holistic Defense) Grant Program, due October 28, 2025, for the award period of March 3, 2026 through June 1, 2028, with an anticipated award of $850,000.00; and b) Determine that the above actions are government fiscal activities or funding mechanisms which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment and are therefore not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA guidelines.
