Title: Consider recommendations regarding the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Surveillance Agreement No. 24-10311 with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), as follows: a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute Grant Agreement No. 24-10311 with the CDPH to accept funding for the HIV Surveillance Program in the amount not to exceed $181,410.00 for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029; b) Approve and authorize the Public Health Director, or designee, to make any required certifications and Project Representative changes in accordance with the Grant Agreement; c) Approve and authorize the Public Health Director, or designee, to execute any future amendments or scope of work changes to Grant Agreement No. 24-10311 provided that the amendment does not exceed ten percent (10%) ($18,141.00) of the total agreement amount, upon review and concurrence by the Auditor Controller's Office and County Counsel's Office, subject to the Board's ability to rescind t...

Title

Consider recommendations regarding the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Surveillance Agreement No. 24-10311 with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), as follows:

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute Grant Agreement No. 24-10311 with the CDPH to accept funding for the HIV Surveillance Program in the amount not to exceed $181,410.00 for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029;

 

b) Approve and authorize the Public Health Director, or designee, to make any required certifications and Project Representative changes in accordance with the Grant Agreement;

 

c) Approve and authorize the Public Health Director, or designee, to execute any future amendments or scope of work changes to Grant Agreement No. 24-10311 provided that the amendment does not exceed ten percent (10%) ($18,141.00) of the total agreement amount, upon review and concurrence by the Auditor Controller’s Office and County Counsel’s Office, subject to the Board's ability to rescind this delegated authority at any time; and

 

d) Determine that the recommended actions are not a “project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and is exempt per CEQA Guideline Section 15378(b)(4) since the recommended actions are government fiscal activities that do not involve commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
