HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding the County Executive Office review of the Northern Branch Jail Operations Funding Plan and response to other board questions, as follows: (EST. TIME: 45 MIN.)
a) Receive and file a report from the County Executive Officer and other staff responding to questions raised at and subsequent to the April 2015 Budget Workshops related to the North Branch Jail;
b) Consider options on Northern Branch Jail, which include continuing with current direction on AB900 and SB1022 projects, continuing only with AB900, or providing other direction;
c) Based on (b), direct staff to update the Northern Branch Jail Operations Funding Plan, and for Fiscal Year 2015-2016, bring any changes to the Board for approval at the June 2015 Budget Hearings; and
d) Find that the proposed actions are not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(4) and 15378(b)(5) of the CEQA Guidelines, because they are government fiscal, organizational, or administrative activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
