Title: Consider recommendations regarding a First Amendment to the Agreement for Professional Legal Services with Outside Counsel Ervin Cohen and Jessup LLP, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute the First Amendment to the Agreement for Professional Legal Services between the County of Santa Barbara and Ervin Cohen and Jessup LLP to increase the not-to-exceed amount to $900,000.00, extend the term to June 30, 2028, and amend the hourly rates in Attachment B-1; and b) Determine that the above action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Sections 15378(b)(4) and 15378(b)(5) because it consists of government administrative or fiscal activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
